Wow did I see that right tf has more than both funny car and pro stock.

18 for the rails 17 for the others. Can't remember when it beat one of them let alone both

Affordable now maybe?

Heck, I dunno, but it all just got a lot cheaper to play..............

let's see......nitro up big from last year....gas costs and travel costs up....new chassis specs mandated for this year.....nope i don't think it got that much cheaper :rolleyes:

Mike,

You weren't at Englishtown this year...you don't know what you're talking about. It is cheaper to race.

Burning LESS nitro now at 1000',less testing and warm ups, not to mention very little in the way of catastrophic engine failures?

I would never speak for anyone else, much less Mike...........

After you get to the track, you guys are probably right, the costs are surely less. But I would guess the travel cost increase in diesel alone over the past year or two, might make the adjustments made my the NHRA a wash at best when you talk about overall costs. I might be wrong, but I'll bet I'm close.

Either way, if the adjustments made by the sanctioning body keep everything in balance in the wake of all the other operating cost increases, then that's great.

Okay, a wash is fine, nice way to offset those expenses then.

And . . . at least with Wilk, only TWO sets of slicks for the entire Denver race!
But costs on everything else continue to rise. Without two local hitters and Crisman, the field would have been short again. Don't know if Crisman will run next week, other two probably won't. As tour heads back east, it will be interesting to see if anyone else shows up with updated dragsters.

And that #1 Q spot looks real good for an easy 20 points when you get the bye in the first round......

I'm hoping Sears Point has at least 16 in all categories, I'd rather not watch any bye runs.
