Top Fuel driver Hillary Will on NBC’s Identity this Friday

If you saw Hillary Will in another setting besides the race track, would you be able to guess her occupation, her Identity? Well, millions will have their chance on Friday.

Will, driver of the KB Racing LLC-owned, Kalitta Motorsports-managed Top Fuel dragster, will be appearing as a “stranger” on the hit NBC game show, Identity, this Friday, March 30 at 8:00 PM (ET). Emmy Award-winning comedian-magician Penn Jillette ("Penn & Teller") hosts the show.

The exhilarating Identity is the ultimate game of "who's who," where keen perception and instincts can lead to a top prize of $500,000. The amount of money the contestant accumulates increases with each correctly identified stranger. If all 12 are matched up correctly, the player is rewarded with the grand prize of $500,000.

In each new game, one contestant faces 12 strangers and a list of 12 traits to identify them. The contestant picks a trait -- ranging anywhere from a profession to a shoe size -- and tries to match it with one of the 12 strangers. This is not an easy task.

But if you would like to try your hand at playing Identity, the show, also offers viewers at home the chance to play the watch-and-win Identity Challenge for a chance at $10,000.

The producers of Identity heard about Will’s profession when she appeared at the North American International Auto Show at Cobo Center in Detroit, as featured speaker at the third annual Automotive Education Day.

“I was really excited when the NBC producers contacted me to be on their game show as a professional drag racer,” said Will. “They told me that the shows drew over 12 million viewers in its premiere back in December. I think this is great exposure for our sport. I’m a big advocate of getting NHRA POWERade Drag Racing into the mainstream. Once people find out what our sport is all about they love it and are immediately hooked. I think that doing things like this show will spark curiosity and increase our fan base.

“I know I don’t look like I could be a professional drag racer so it was interesting to see if the contestant could guess what my identity was. I think the viewers will be surprised by the outcome of the show.”

When Identity, which was taped earlier in the year, is aired on Friday, Will will be in Houston qualifying her KB Racing Top Fuel dragster. Highlights and results of the four qualifying sessions for the 20th annual O’Reilly Spring Nationals at Houston Raceway Park can be seen on ESPN2 / ESPN2 HD on Saturday, March 31, from 7-9 p.m. ESPN2 / ESPN2 HD will also air same-day coverage of eliminations on Sunday (April 1) from 4-7 p.m. The elimination show repeats early Friday morning (April 6), from 4-6 a.m. Television times are ET and subject to change without notice.
