It always been that way, Its always been a rich mans deal, but, now we have kids who came up from JR Dragster and Super Comp driving T/F cars who can cut a light because they don't know how to do it wrong.

This year is going to be the year to pay attention to top fuel.

An amazing list for sure. Like Mr. Fullerton stated, we now have the generation of JR, and super class drivers that are in all three Pro classes now.
Half their deal was running consistant, the other half was killing the tree.
And they do it SO well!!!

I should know this but....who are the Pro class drivers with JR and super experience? Or should the question be who does not?

Erica Enders, Shawn Langdon and Jeg Coughlin for starters. There are others, also quite a few who came up through Top Alcohol, like Steve Torrence, Spencer Massey and the Force girls.

DSR had the larger port heads first for most of last year?, then
did AJR have towards year's end? and anyone else last year?

and who's got them now? apparently kalitta? what about lucas? vandy?
torrence? force?

these heads being used in FC now too?

  • Shawn Langdon started in JRs, was the first to win back-to-back SC national championships.
  • Jack Beckman won the Super Comp national championship.
  • Every one of the Force ladies came up through SC before they ran TAD.
  • Spenser Massey started in JRs.
  • Leah Pruett started in JRs.
  • Morgan Lucas started in SC, his mom still races SC.
  • JR Todd started in JRs.
  • Steve Torrence did a lot of bracket racing, not sure if he ran SC.
  • Hot Rod Fuller ran SC as well.

I think JFR was the first team to implement new heads and then DSR followed with their own version and AJR followed that. I am sure someone will confirm or deny this.

Great list , did'nt Dave Connolly also run in S/C or S/G ??

Yep. Still runs a bunch of different things. Ran in SC for a long time, even in the off weekends when he was competing in PS. He competed in two races in Stock last year.

Forgot to mention Alexis DeJoria, she ran in SG before TAFC.

Will DSR or AJE sell the Big Heads to other teams or is it their "Private Stock"?
Will they work on the A/Fuel cars?

I can't wait till they come to New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Redding PA! I think were going to see someone in the 3.6's in Top Fuel, a few will be sub 4 seconds in Funny car each race. So happy I live in the Northeast

I can think of a few heavily funded cars out there not running numbers!

Exactly. Always been that way. More than one small budget team has made a run at the championship, and more than one larger budget team has struggled to make the top ten. Checkbook balances do not win races.

As a "mid-budget" racer, I have put on the trailer (and been put on my trailer by) teams from across the spending spectrum. Like most sports, a fat checkbook can help but it doesn't make up for differences in talent, seat time, drive, and determination.
