Talk about the pot calling the kettle black....all the Pedregon's do is whine and complain,

I'm with Shawn on this this one. It's funny how Cruz is chastising him for pointing out the obvious that we all saw. Oh, and Cruz: Don't say that someone is the "weak link" when you're not in the top 10 and haven't won a race yet. But I wouldn't expect less from someone who's sponsor should be Kleenex.

Hmmmm, Kleenex would be a cool sponsor. The driver would give a box of Kleenex to whoever he/she beats in a race. :)

Why did Cruz open his damn mouth in the first place. Didnt have a f*cking thing to do with him. I agree with Langdon.....Cruz...Shut up and fix your car! Typical Pedregon. Shooting their mouth!
"This ain't top fuel"...awesome! I agree...shut up.

It’s obvious when the Force or Cruz haters are ready to pounce. Their responses are little too hateful and over the top.

I’m going to add my worthless opinion not based on driver fandom. I can call a spade a spade. I’m normally a Cruz fan BUT it was unfair to call Shawn out. The majority thought the first round track prep was garbage. This wasn’t the best track last year either and there was no reason to lower it when it should have been obvious the heat was going to be an issue. How many times have we heard it said it’s hard to back them down? Do you really think that many experienced crew chiefs could get it so wrong if there wasn’t an issue? Cruz has been around a lot longer but Shawn has earned respect. Why is he being singled out for something most everyone else felt the same about? How is a Kalitta car with Shawn Langdon a weak link? They may be struggling at times and no one should understand that better than Cruz. Torrence has been one of the most consistent cars all year and couldn’t get down the track. Complainers weren’t bashing the people who worked their butt off prepping the track only the decision makers who made a bad call.

Disappointed in Cruz and sympathetic to the fans that paid good money and braved the heat to see that first round Top Fuel sh*t show.

I know everyone wants rivalries but I tune in to see racing not a bunch of childish drama. It makes me want to not even watch.

I've already stated that NHRA should consider extra track prep during the hot summer months, so I'm 100 percent behind Langdon. I realize those two race floppers but regardless, the Top Fuel qualifying rounds were crap. But I'm not sore at Cruz for his opinion, which he's certainly entitled to. Probably doesn't care for Langdon, anyway, for whatever reason. And let's face it - he wasn't THAT ugly about it.

Who thinks it's good for the show when so few cars get down the track?
Wake up NHRA!
No wake up crew chiefs and do your jobs! Stop crying about not enough glue, the track is the same for everyone. You know what I think is funny, so many yearn for the way it used to be. Well back in the day, there was no track prep at most tracks and the top funny car racers would manage to get down whatever track they were given.

Same old crap: I was unsuccessful in doing what I was trying to do but it can't be my fault, it must be the NHRA's fault. No, the blame goes to the tuners and drivers and it will never be fixed until they decide that the their results depend upon their decisions.

Too many of the high dollar/profile teams believe that they deserve a track that will accept anything they can throw at it. IMHO it is the wrong mindset for success.

no matter who's fault it is, the bottom line is, if u put on a smoke filled 'lame' drag race, the people are not gonna be tempted to return!

If we are to believe the crew chiefs just can't help themselves trying to set the world on fire every run why wouldn't the underfunded teams take advantage of that and get down the track? No one in top fuel was able to. I sure don't know or have the answers but ultimately the fans are the losers. I do know when I see this I don't forget it. If I plan on traveling to attend races I would avoid traveling to the races I remember being less than stellar.

I like Cruz, but he must’ve had a hard on for Langdon long before this to say what he did. Langdon’s tweet should not have garnered the response it did from Cruz. Just seems like there is more to this than any of us know.

The track prep is NOT the problem. Hard headed crew chiefs are the problem. And let's not forget, qualifying runs aren't just to see who can go fastest, but who can make the best runs down the track they're given. It's up to the crew chiefs to figure it out so they can win on RACE day.

Cruz shouldnt have said anything then when cruz started walking away then langdon said something about his shallow staging, he should have let it go when cruz walked away, naybe they were both a little wrong? I like em both, its really gonna be hard for cruz to get in top ten now..
