Tony Stewart to Drive Elite Top Fuel Entry (23 Viewers)

if dodge money stays with matt and leah, what a great opportunity for a new sponsor/s to come on board with the tsr/elite TF effort,
or any of the many partners tony and elite already has.

I am thrilled by this turn of events, but also totally confused. Practically speaking, how does a person own and finance one team and drive for a competing team? Is there no conflict of interest in this scenario? Someone who understands please explain to me how this will work. If you thought Tony risked sleeping on the sofa if he drove a second TF car racing against Leah as a team mate, you aint seen nothing yet. 😅

While not an owner in Elite, he has a marketing partnership with them. I’m sure the two operations will be considered team cars that share technology and information. Yes there could be an issue during a championship run by one or the other and possibly facing off. I’m sure Tony Pedregon will bring up the questions to Stewart and Freeman when and if it happens.

and I wasn't aware that Tony Stewart had an "interest" in Elite. If Elite and TSR share technology on all things TF and act as quasi team mates that would put a totally different spin on things from the way I was viewing it.

Tony will have a field day offering his opinions on this one!
Can’t wait, fun times coming!

i hope tony p. does not pursue this line of questioning. the press release reads erica and aaron will also license. IMO this elite/tsr
partnership is one that aims to grow the sport. get past the race by race and who beats who.
more money. more drivers. more sponsors. better tv package. better social media. better live attendance.
richard and tony are not spring chickens. they don't have to do this, but they are and i think it is great.

With the Force family name not racing in 2026, Tony Stewart is the biggest star in NHRA. NHRA needs him. If I was a sponsor looking to get involved with the sport, he is the guy I would want.
