Expect to see some news to come down today. Kevin McKenna tweeted this yesterday. For those who don't know, Kevin is a Sr. Editor at National Dragster.

"Boom!! NHRA silly season officially kicks off in 10, 9, 8, 7....."

"Hearing details of a major shake-up involving a pair of championship contending Countdown teams. More info to follow shortly"

"Been a busy news day on several fronts. Awaiting confirmation on a couple things that should be out there tomorrow. Stay tuned."

"Thinking that tomorrow might feature the best and worst aspects of my job. Lot of passion for the sport but inevitable conflict as well"

I saw that too.

Based on that last quote from him, I'm thinking someone on the sidelines is going to take the place of someone with a current ride.

Everybody's thinking Force/Schumacher. But there's other teams and other Pro classes. Maybe Greg Anderson is going to become an astronaut. Rumor has it the Aranas are going to buy out El Chico's and trade their motorcycles for fajitas. Or maybe Johnny Gray and old man DeJoria pooled their resources and bought the NHRA.

Ahh, the mind wanders......:)

maybe wally fired compton & light ?.......now that's new's !!!

Greg Anderson is going to drive a second Jegs car. After all, it was just last week Jeg made it clear to Greg he is number one!

Here is the latest.

"As far as today's news goes, it is still unfolding. Can only say it involves a top 10 racer potentially changing teams. Hope to confirm soon".

Guess ill play

Im going to say Edwards is hanging up the driving gloves and Erica will drive fior him.

That's pretty crappy of Scotty to hose George Bryce like that.

That's way beyond "crappy"!! Hope he fails to qualify, breaks all his parts, his transporters blow engines and any other bad luck that could be named short of any accident causing bodily injury. I understand the reasoning behing the points going with the driver but the owners also deserve some protection. Anothr reason NOT to watch the bikes.
