I'm pretty sure TJ is happy to be driving SOMETHING, rather than just sitting on the sidelines.

From what I can tell from anther article elsewhere, this two car team will probably compete at selected US events, starting with the US Nats., a practice that might grow if this deal works out. So we'll still get to see him compete. Just not as often as we might like.

I don't care what any Gloomy Guses may say. This is MUCH better for drag racing in general, and TJ in particular, than being parked for another season, which is what he was looking at prior to this deal.

This IS a good thing for drag racing.

I could not agree more, David. From the sidelines to a seat connected to Big $$ and good equipment. With the current ecomomy, this is a great start!!

I thought I had heard somewhere that they were going to race the cars here to sort them out and then eventually ship them overseas. Can't remember where I heard or thought I heard that. That would make the most sense to me. I have read the attached link a couple of times and it can be interpreted a couple of different ways.

Maybe Bobby B. can hop on here and clarify for us before all of the rumors and speculation really start flying.

The way I read the article, TJ will be racing in the Yas Marina circuit which is in the country of United Arab Emirates.

That's the long straight that was just used for the Formula One race. I have a son in law who is in the UAE several times a year for his work and for him it's not a great place to work or live. Too big a difference in culture and you sure can't get a cold bier.

i believe the dragstrip is separate from the road course circuit.

The UAE is fairly liberal place to live/work, there is beer, decent night clubs, restaurants, etc. A bit far for a weekly commute though, I spent 10 years in that area and it is OK if you have the right mind set.

It did just have a financial meltdown Thanksgiving, hopefully this will not disrupt the team.
