Tim Tindle, driver of the Tindle Enterprises GT 500 Promod Mustang, suffered a surprising first round lost during eliminations Saturday at the O'Reilly Spring Nationals, the second event of the 2008 JEGS Promod Challenge.
Tindle faced hometown comrade Joe Baker in the opening round of eliminations. Quick off the line (.051 of a second to Baker's .058), Tindle made a strong pass down the quarter-mile, clocking a 6.139, 234.00, crossing less than a car length behind Baker.
"It's definitely a sore lost for us, but we are steadily improving each pass. We went down the track seven times in a row, which was our first priority. Now it's time to get this hot rod in the 5's."
"I hate losing first round anyway you look at it and this is one of the one's that hurts. We know we have a great team, great sponsors, and a bad hot rod. We'll just have to take this lost and look forward to the next race.""
Next up on the 2008 JEGS Promod Challenge Schedule is the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals in Atlanta, GA, April 24-27.
Tindle Racing would like to specially thank TEI (Tindle-Enteprises Inc), MSD Ignition, Goodyear Tires, TORCO Racing Fuels, NGK Sparkplugs, Lucas Oil, and Huntsville Engine for their continuing support. For more information on Tindle Racing visit www.TindleRacing.com
