Tindle exits early at the Gatornationals

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 17, 2007) -- Despite a first-round loss today at the ACDelco Gatornationals, Gainesville Raceway, Tim Tindle is not discouraged. Following the final round of qualifying, Tindle fell victim to a slight change in track conditions during his opening round, loosing to Tony Pontieri in the AMS Promod Challenge, presented by Tindle Enterprises.

Driving the TEI (Tindle Enterprises Inc.) GT 500 Mustang, No. 14 qualifier Tim Tindle launched with Pontieri, but tire shake caused him to shut down early, coasting to a 15.48, 50.39. Pontieri's run wasn't perfect either, but he took the win light with a 6.12, 201.49.

Tindle said, "Losing is not fun, but I think we have learned a couple of things from it. I didn't think we did too bad during qualifying, being that it was our first time out. We were a little aggressive with the setup, but hey, that's racing. It's time to put the past behind us and move forward."

Tindle and the entire TEI team head next to the O'Reilly Spring Nationals in Houston, TX, March 30 – April 1.

TARE Racing would like to specially thank TEI (Tindle-Enteprises Inc), Mike Ashley's Gotham City Racing, MSD Ignition, Goodyear Tires, NGK Sparkplugs, Lucas Oil, and Huntsville Engine for their continuing support.
