Tindle races to quarterfinal finish in E-Town

Tim Tindle gained momentum this past weekend at the 39th Annual Lucas Oil SuperNationals. The 2007 Promod Rookie of the year steered his GT 500E Promod Mustang to a quarterfinal finish on Sunday.

Tindle, a Florida native, earned his first 2008 Jegs Promod Challenge round win by edging Roger Burgess in the opening round. After qualifying No.12, Tindle drove his Stott-tuned door-slammer to a 6.145, 234.17 mph pass to score the win light at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. In round two the 2007 Super Nationals winner lost to points leader Joshua Hernandez.

"You're never happy after losing, but we had a good turnaround Sunday," Tindle said. "We struggled in qualifying and to come out and run that 6.08 shows what this team is capable of. We accomplished two things this weekend; we made the field and recorded several good baseline runs. I think we are headed in the right direction"

Tindle was racing with a heavy heart after the death of Scott Kalitta. Tindle Racing is deeply saddened and want to pass along our deepest condolences to the Kalitta family. He will be missed.

Scott Kalitta was the 1994-1995 NHRA POWERade Series Top Fuel Champion. He earned 18 career NHRA POWERade Series victories and was the son of drag racing veteran Connie Kalitta. Scott Kalitta was 46 years old.

Tindle Racing would like to specially thank TEI (Tindle-Enteprises Inc), MSD Ignition, Goodyear Tires, TORCO Racing Fuels, NGK Sparkplugs, Lucas Oil, and Huntsville Engine for their continuing support. For more information on Tindle Racing visit :: Tindle Racing ::
