Tindle gains confidence after Topeka victory (1 Viewer)

[coverattach=1]SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL – After his ultimate finish in the NHRA Summer Nationals Sunday, promod racer Tim Tindle earned the right to leave Topeka with his head held high.

After qualifying in the No.5 position, Tindle proved to be one of the race’s most consistent competitors, charging four straight rounds into the winner’s circle. In the semi-finals, Tindle defeated the No.1 qualifier Joe Baker and then Jay Payne in the finals.

Sunday’s victory marked Tindle’s first Get Screened America Promod victory this year and his second promod victory in 2009. In April, Tindle won in his IHRA debut at Rockingham Dragway. Talk about making a good first impression.

“This is definitely becoming a good year,” Tindle said. “I can’t ask for a better hotrod. Quain and the boys (Skippy, Marcus, TJ, and Larry) have worked day in and day out to deliver a good car and it showed on race day.”
”The win feels really good. More than anything, it builds confidence. It lets us know that we have what it takes to be competitive.”

”Our plan is to compete in the remaining Get Screened America Promod races, IHRA races, and local Outlaw races.”

After Sunday’s event, Tindle moves to the No.7 position in the championship chase with 270 points.
