Thurday Sportsman tech/qualifying being pushed into Friday? (1 Viewer)

It looks like NHRA has done away with Thursday tech/qualifying for the sportsman cars at some of the races this year. I wonder how it will or has worked thus far. Any idea on why they decided to stuff all the racing, at these events into three days? What if Friday turns into a rain out?

This is not new. There have been 3 day events for the last few years, ever since they decided to not run all classes at every event.

They still have tech on Thursday. We had over 500 cars at the spring Vegas race and it all worked fine in 3 days.

So Epping, for example ran sportsman on Thursday last year but this year they opted to put all of the racing into three days. What is NHRA's reasoning behind this?

I don't know what the class entry limits are, but just 41 SS and 47 Stockers at Atlanta this weekend!
