That's unfortunate. It'll be interesting to know the details of this as the story unfolds.

The "rumor" I heard is that he is headed towards the state of Michigan. That's not the only rumors coming out of the same shop. Time will tell.

I wish nothing but success & happiness for Tommy, whether he ends up in Michigan or elsewhere. He has shown that he can, indeed, make a car fly. (Yes, the pun is still intended.)

That said, love him or hate him, Mr. Schumacher knows how to build winning teams... even when one of his crew chiefs walks - Just ask the 2012 Funny Car Champ, "Fast" Jack, and the guy who finished two points behind him, Ron Capps. Methinks Matt Hagan & the entire Schumacher Flopper camp will be just fine in 2013.

Bummed to see him go. I'll still cheer for him.
haven't heard anything on hagan for next year either.
his article on nhra.com a few weeks ago talked about everything BUT next year.

At Pomona on Sunday I overheard him tell a fan that he was working on it.

Don has already indicated that he will be keeping Spencer's team intact next year.
Now that Beckman has won the championship in virtually a self-funded DSR car, I wonder if the Aarons body will end up on Beckman's car again, and Hagan will have a new deal, or an existing deal step up?
I seriously doubt Hagan will be on the sidelines next year.

was happy to see valvoline nextgen get the win with beckman.
they haven't been a serious presence as a major car sponsor in nhra since amato; i hope they continue to see value in dsr and nhra

ironic aarons goes to the champ car in lieu of departing sponsor diehard,
then fails to make playoff while original aarons fc (jack) wins the season

i'd like to see tj jr. drive for dsr, but best guess is the cattle rancher:rolleyes: probably has a little more residual income at his disposal to fill sponsor voids
than does tj jr.
