There is definitely a lot of neat engineering in that thing. But the guy admitted later that some of the “thieves” in the video were acquaintances of his.

Yeah, but he was straight up about it ... after about 6 million views and some pretty good monetization of the vid!

I read that. Apparently, he gave the "glitter bomb" to some of his friends to test out and they ended up hiring some friends to pose as thieves. When he found out he re-edited the video and deleted the segments of the fake thieves.

I'm gonna have to get better at reading comprehension, my son just pointed out what Alan clearly said (and I totally missed) .... the dartboard guy is the same guy who did the glitter bomb. For now I'm gonna blame it on my eyes getting noticeably worse in the last few months. Eye doctor time.

Dude would be a great next door neighbor!

He was a NASA engineer, IIRC. Helped engineer&send the Mars Rover to its current location, I believe.

His entire channel is full of cool stuff. He blew up a canned air bullhorn/foghorn to like 20x the size, using a huge, vertical air compressor tank that must have been at least 60 gallons, then building the actual horn himself. It must have been 8' by 10'. They set it up, his buddy hit the air while holding a walkie talkie so they knew when to start the timer, and then waited for it to get to them like 2 miles away while they timed how long it took. They were out in the middle of the desert. It was pretty freaking cool, IMO.
