September 21, 2006 ( Ennis , TX ) - Just coming off a big win at Ozark International Raceway’s Street Machines race, Cody Barklage is hungry to carry on the winning streak in Ennis , Texas for the NHRA O'Reilly Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex.
Barklage, who is doing well in the AMS / RPM Depot Pro Mod Challenge, is looking to step-up his game and show the world he can go rounds.
"Our goal for the weekend is to go rounds and advance in points," said Barklage. "I feel I'm getting more consistent on the tree, and the car is running very well. My dad has been tuning some good numbers and our win last weekend proves that. I am more comfortable in the car and I think we can step things up this weekend. We have done very well being competitive and I hope we can continue our success here in Texas."
Barklage went on to comment, "If the weather holds, we should see some big numbers this weekend from us and the whole class. Coming into this race we are doing well in the points; I hope we can just move up."
The next stop on the AMS / RPM Depot Pro Mod Challenge is the Torco Race Fuel NHRA Nationals in Richmond , VA. October 6 - 8, 2006. The next race for Barklage Racing is the Super Chevy Show in San Antonio , Texas , September 29 - 3.
