Landing is scheduled for 3:55 pm EST today.
The rover was launched in July 2020.
This stuff really is rocket science.
How you hit a moving planet that is 300 million miles away, on a trip that takes nine months, makes my brain hurt thinking of all the math involved.
Due to the distance involved, it will take 11 minutes for NASA to receive a landing status update from the rover.
Here's to a soft landing.

From NASA: NASA’s Perseverance Mars rover has sent back its first image(s) from the surface of the Red Planet. The image(s) come from Perseverance’s Hazard Avoidance Cameras (Hazcams), which help with driving. The clear protective covers over these cameras are still on. These first images are low-resolution versions known as “thumbnails.” Higher-resolution versions will be available later.

Drag racing on Mars....... Ya ever notice how Mars rocks look just like ours? Maybe rocks are rocks regardless of planet. Would not wanna live there, unless I had a bullet proof Hab. You ever watch the movie The Martian? It's supposed to be based on real Mars stuff, like the Hab and the Rover, etc.
