The BAMM motorsports team attended it first race March 22nd as the Quick 8 Outlaws converged on the famed "House Of Hook" in Jackson SC.

After the new car blues were slowly getting worked out and minimal testing before the race, the team managed a number 8 qualifing position. Team president Jack Barfield along with Bryan Morris and Jason Mote handled the tuning duties during the event. With a string of sixty foot times ranging from 1.00 to 1.03 over the course of 5 runs the team is looking forward to turning up the wick during testing in the coming weeks.

"We were simply planning to come to this first race and qualify well and hope to get at least one round win and that is exactly what we accomplished today. Running a 4.21 @ only 170 mph tells us we have alot left in the car." stated Jeff Miles.

With a second round loss and a top half qualifing effort BAMM motorsports will move on to round 2 of the Quick 8 Outlaws event to be held at Coastal Plains in Jacksonville NC April 26th. With roughly 4 weeks to test look for things to get real fast real quick for the all new team.

After the race Jack Barfield said, "I am just as pleased as could be with the results of this weekend. We only had 2 full runs under our belt with this car before qualifing and to go out and break into the top half is just awesome. This Gene Fulton power is by far the best around and Tommy Mauney sure builds a nice Pro Mod car to boot. I believe we can really get after it and turn it up now that we have some data to go off of."

BAMM motorsports would like to thank Mickey Thompson Tires, TCI transmissions and Fulton Race Engines for all the help put into this race team. For more info on the Quick 8 Outlaws visit Q8outlaws.com, also look for bamm-motorports.com coming soon.
