This past weekend we had the car at the Oregon International Air Show. There were an estimated 50,000 fans on Saturday and perhaps half as many on Sunday but what a great way to expose a new fan base to our sport. The demographics, the simularity in the fans is equal to what I've seen at the drag races.
I would say that 99 percent knew what a dragster was, 80 percent knows the term Top Fuel, 40 percent knew there are both nitro cars and alcohol cars. About 40 percent knew who Force, Bernstien,etc is. Most I talked to refered to TV so maybe the ratings aren't as bad as they say.
The interest level was incredible and was the best event we have ever displayed at. There were a couple of NASCAR display cars and we out drew both by a long shot!
