That is a continuation of the mad man Russell Mills. He has had a long wheelbase altered for at least ten years in Top Alcohol. His first version was my favorite.

Russell Mills’ Awesome Top Alky Entry Is A Dragster/Funny Car Hybrid

Reminds me of the Boggs Bros car back in the very early nineties, first it was supercharged on alcohol, then injected nitro with nitrous oxide as another power adder.Steve tuned it,.his brother Wayne fearlessly drove the thing like a madman,a real crowd favorite.I remember his saying I read somewhere was "make it dangerous and I'll drive it".I recall some 6.0 runs out of the thing, and some long wild and wooley smokey burnouts.

Steve did tune it, but it was Ron Boggs who drove it. That car was badass, but my favorite car of theirs to this day, was their 125" AA/A Pro Comp car, Poison. Somebody PLEASE post a pic of that car.

Remember when NHRA pissed off the Boggs Bros. They would not run any stickers
and they scrubbed off the white lettering on the tires. (Goodyear or M&H)
Check out the pictures. Before and after

Check out the Top Alky winner streamliner. He won.... I think their rules make dragster & F/C same weight, so he can be competitive with the car.
Over the weekend, both the Funny Cars and Dragsters were running in the 5.40s. It's a great show. Russell Mills has been a crowd favorite since he showed up on the Top Alcohol scene - his first ride was a 56 Crown Victoria FC, then came the Altered with the 300in wheelbase, and now the streamliner.

Sorry on the wrong name, yes it was Ron and not Wayne. I had some great pit shots of the car right after they went injected nitro, and remember the two bottles of nitrous just behind the fuel cell. The car was plumbed beautifully, and those guys were good to talk to and answered questions from this TA/FC wannabe at the time.
Notice the crowded stands in the above pics,no one left their seat in those days, especially when this car was in line to run.

Dennis, this was originally designed as a T/F car. No wing, had a "tunnel" that was supposed to have downforce. They ran it on alky a few times and it vanished. Wonder if it's still around? Was a slick lookin' car.

Justin, those are great shots! Never remember seeing them. Do you know who owns the car now?
