For those of you who don't live in Texas, and think Texans are a bunch of uncivilized ruffians well, it is not true ! In fact, they have ladies groups that meet regularly to discuss current events and develop needed home-skills.
Here is a photo taken at a recent "Say NO to Hillary" ladies group meeting in Granbury.

Yes she does!

Anyway....I have real issues with this photo. I see some major basic gun safety issues. Someone is teaching our Texas ladies WRONG! ;)

First issue--total lack of presence of automatic assault weapons--them handguns just don't cut it all the time anymore!

In my best effort to NOT turn this into a gun control thread, I will say people who want a gun for "self-defense" would be more than sufficiently equipped with a .44 magnum. If people think they need UZI's and AK-47's they're just plane NUTS.

First of all, that picture explains why everyone says "Yes ma'am" and "No ma'am" in Texas. Bad manners will get a cap peeled in your a$$.

Secondly, if people from other countries saw that photo, they would surely stop effing with us right? I mean I live in America and that picture scares the hell out of me. We should reprint that picture on anti-terror leaflets and scatter them across the middle east.

Lastly, remember Kelly, you can't bring those guns with you thru the airport when you come to Vegas. You have to unload them and declare them in your checked luggage. ;)

Sam...
Personally, I like a 12 gauge with a twenty inch barrel and no stock... nope, I won't use a 44 in close... or street fighting... call me old school, but I like the CAR-15 family for house to house... and a good 9mm as back up...

but that's just me...

but I still love my Ma Duce when you want to reach out and touch someone

I am a big fan of 12 gauges in close quarters myself. I used to be a 9mm guy until my H&K .40 changed my mind. Not a big fan of the revolvers, but my Dad has a friend that does his own reloads with his .44 and he calls it "the wristbreaker". Lemme tell ya, it will stop a charging rhino. I had a pre-ban AK-47 (one of the real ones 7.62mm fully auto, none of that Chinese crap) that I absolutely loved but it was cost-prohibitive to shoot and it had just appreciated too much in value, so I sold it for more than 10 times what I paid for it. "For reaching out and touching someone" I am pretty handy with my Browning .375 A-Bolt as most of our game shots out here in the desert tend to be 100+ yards out ...

PS the ma deuce has been in service for over 80 years now, so you know it is a good piece, never got to fire one myself though.
