Telling your kids to lie to save some cash.

Based on that story, I suppose I'm screwing up whenever a cashier gives me too much change and I give it back to them!

I stopped at the local quickie mart the other day and bought myself a water and a snack. Total $4 and something. I gave the girl a $10 and she gave me back $95 and something. I just looked at her and then said "I think you did this wrong." She said "You gave me a $100" and I said "No, I gave you a $10". Needless to say she was extremely happy. I cant do it to people.

I give change back if given too much, but.....

I guess I'm a bad person where the kiddo's involved sometimes. Since he's a little on the small side for his age, we've said he was younger at a few places to get a cheaper price......several times over the last few years. :o

On several occasions I've walked off without counting the money only to realize later that I have too much or too little.

I generally try to remember to do a good deed with it though if I can't remember where I was or it happens to be 100 miles back, like give it to a guy on the street or buy sodas for my employees...

Yea..my kid is 14..but he was 12 at the Cordova Nostalgiafest thingy. $25 for adult..$5 for 12 & under. I didn't feel guilty. I'll always give too much change back..that's only right..since the person giving it would probably have to cover it.
