T.Smith head pat

The car wasn't going to go in reverse. A fastener that clamps a lever on the cross-shaft came loose(the cross-shaft controls the throwout bearing in the clutch). When TJ went to disengage the clutch after the burnout, the lever shifted on the shaft which basically made the clutch pedal useless. Unless you can get the clutch to a neutral position, you cannot get the car in reverse. Whether NHRA gave us more time or not was not going to change the outcome. Pushing it back was not an option as the clutch was dragging and the car was not going to go anywhere but forward.

Thanks Randy, overall it was a good weekend. I just wish we could've made that last run.

After the race was over I went to Zizzo's pit and asked about you T, they said you were already gone. I told them it looked like you needed a hug ... and I was told "Next time, why don't you try to give him a hug and see how that comes out for you." LOL It was all smiles in the pits over there, you guys did have a good weekend.
