Something doesn't add up in this race. Tyler was credited with the win but he broke out by almost a tenth to Ben's breakout of about seven hundredths. The only way Tyler could win in this situation is if Ben crossed the center line/hit the wall, red lit, or failed post race inspection (fuel, weight, etc.), but there is no mention of anything out of the ordinary. I checked the point standings on NHRA.com and Tyler was given 105 points and Ben 84 so they have Tyler as the winner as well. I'm pretty sure I've seen Bob Orme post on Nitromater before. I'm hoping he, or someone who witnessed the race, could shed some light on what happened.

Pretty sure there is a misprint in the dial, I was trackside at 1/8th mile and remember thinking that Ben must have been really late to run as far under as he did, Tyler was under but by less, don't remember the numbers though.

Tyler's actual dial in was 11.51, not 11.57. 11.57 was what the clock operator originally entered into the timing system. That's what our software captures. If the clock operator only adjusts the dial in on one driver, the change does not come through our data feed. Both lanes need to be reentered for our software to catch the change, or I need to know about the change to manually correct the numbers before posting the round. The correct win flag is still captured by our software, but if I don't know there has been dial in change, the numbers don't add up and I look stupid. I have edited the final round post to show the correct numbers.

Thanks Bob, I assumed it was something along those lines after Phillip replied stating he watched the race and both guys were under but Tyler was under by less.

P.S. Don't worry about looking stupid. Us hardcore fans really appreciate the time and effort you guys put in to provide us with the results.
