Can a fuel engine be made to give a 4 second (or longer) static run while bolted to a trailer, maybe with some kind of portable load like a water tank on the trailer? The idea is to get a good loud safe run of a fuel engine in a packed football stadium right after the national anthem. If this is possible I can imagine the possibility for drag racing advertising, sponsors recognition (all eyes would be on it) and the goosebumps of a Nitro run inside a stadium. You can't tell me the crowd would not love that kind of sound energy in a stadium at the start of any pro game. Other than a jet , what else comes close? How crazy is this idea?

I am not sure that there are restraints that would be strong enough to hold it down. Cool idea but too many variables in things that can go wrong.

I don't think the motor without the car is the sell. It will just look like something making a bunch of noise.

True about the motor only, As for the nitro fumes, They would be diluted so much by the time the hit the fans, Just like when they make a pass by you in the stands.
You can get a brief smell of nitro if the wind is blowing just right.
Throttle wacks, sure it would be cool but with the distance and being so far away, you wouldn't have the "basketball thrown in your chest feeling" just a sound delay.
If they wanted to do that concept, at least 4 fuelers spread evenly in the stadium.

That brings back a lot of fun memories. They were some of the best margaritas. I think I may still have my margarita mixer t-shirt hanging in the closet, but it definitely would not fit me anymore.
