What a shame. Quite possibly the best conditions we've seen or will see this year and this has to happen. That's what, 3 rear ends this year, something you normally go years and not see. I'm sure no one feels worse about it than Clay.

Maybe NHRA should permanently run Rick Ware’s cars last so if/when they break a rear end it doesn’t ruin the rest of session. What a shame too, you had a great crowd, outstanding conditions, Gary Scelzi on the mic, a sponsor throwing money around and an overall buzz to the night…all for not.

I Heard them mention about clay saying teams are having these issues, what other teams?

this is terrible with rwr cars. my goodness, this needs to be resolved.
i feel terrible for them.
Clay stated that other teams have issues also but it appears RWR teams win the prize. I'm sure anybody with knowledge is looking to help. I'm guessing Clay will have a video out about it.

Why are the Rick Ware cars having the rear-end issues and everyone else seems to have the problen taken care of?
There are still no diapers that are able to contain this oil? How hard could that be to design?

I would also think that NHRA could change the Sat schedule to allow the 2nd Q of T/F to be completed Sat morning (today), prior to Q3 and Q4 later in the day. Why wouldn't they do that?

Don't remember anyone else with this problem this year except Tony Schumacher. Getting to look like more then just a coincidence.

Im very surprised nhra hasnt put them on some sort of probation, remember when paul romine kept blowing up a bunch of stuff, told him to figure ot out or you cant run

Did I hear Clay correctly on .TV? It's a Chrisman rear end, he's working on it, and clay saying its a parts issue??
He did apologize for it happening and I swear he said Antron loaned them the rear end for this qualifying run.

He did say that he was running a rear end from Antron.

I rewound the interview with Clay. He didn't say a "parts issue", but he did say it was a "materials issue".

If so, that would rule out a chassis issue from what I understand reading others posts here about what could be causing this.

Hard to do at this venue. The Dragstrip walls have to be moved in order to be able to use the road course.

I’ve always wondered if it could be done at other venues… maybe a Charlotte or Vegas. Or Bristol.

The road course runs around the dragstrip, and the dragstrip barriers are perinatally in placed. This has always been the case. However, the road course can and has dipped down on the shut-off area before running up the hill. Just not on the concrete race surface.

But to better answer your question, conceivably yes, but why? I think two different types of fans.

It will be interesting to see that the Sunday crowd will look like.

wow. austin goes 3.98 in Q4 to bump in. winefsky and gibbons DNQ.
gibbons driving for densham in a charger. i had forgot they went to that body. i was thinking
they were still running the old black/white/blue JFR mustang body.
