Sonoma 2025 (14 Viewers)

Buddy Hull just had a nasty explosion again and the body was up and blocked his view completely and he had no chutes and the safety safari truck pulled out right in front of him, he barely missed it. Hope he is ok.
That was close to being a really bad situation, couldn’t of missed the truck by much

Yeah, they quickly edited that out.
Have you ever been at a stop sign and pulled out and didn’t notice how fast a car was coming and say “oh sh!t”. Even Galvin shouted “Watch out”.

That needs to change asap,if he were on fire he would be just burning alive while the car body dash was on him. Was there a recent rule change on this??

Funny how they won’t show a replay of that lol

Puckerfest in the pick up

Let me preface this by saying I’m a fan of drag racing. Big fan.
However, I remember when the NHRA would sit a racer out for a race or two if they were blowing up stuff on a regular basis. Then the team had to make some positive passes to show that they were able to make clean passes.
My question is why don’t the powers that be have a conversation with Jim Dunn Racing? Get them some help with a tune up that doesn’t blow up?
Someone is going to get hurt or worse if car blows up race after race, year after year.
I’m not saying they’re a bad team but they haven’t been competitive since the early 2000’s.
I respect anyone who goes out and tries their best to field a nitro burning car week in and week out. I can’t imagine how hard it must be.
But at some point someone needs to offer some help or advice to help get them back to competitiveness.

Simple -They would be down another car-Feild to short as it is

I hope Jim Dunn has the budget to keep attending races.
I feel real bad for these guys. No one wants to blow up parts, but Jim Dunn racing always deliberately runs a conservative tune-up in order to hopefully be easy on parts, keep withing their tight budget, and make the next race. I'm sure they would welcome some assistance to try and figure out what's going on, but troubleshooting these situations can be easier said than done.

and during the final bike session as John Hall and Angie Smith were coming down the top end someone allowed Dallas Glenn to cross the track in front of them. John was like WTF.

Dan Wilkerson made a comment last night about agreeing with Hagan on the tethers. I think they added them after Hight launched a body over the TV screen a few years ago. Not sure what the answer is, but the body breaking apart and staying on the car on top of the driver doesn't look like much fun.

Unbelievable, I just saw that. It's the second time this weekend that I have seen a car going across the track with vehicles in the shut down. If I were John Hall I would be fighting mad.

IF the driver cant see not good at all,i understand its prob for the fans safety, but the fans also understand there is always that chance you could get struck by something
