Also, I'm pretty excited for the release of the new Dream Theater album next Tuesday, September 24th. It's the second album since drummer Mike Mangini joined the band, but the first in which Mike was involved in the writing process. To quote guitarist John Petrucci, "when you hear the drumming on this album, you're gonna be really freaked out".

I am on my 4th full listen of the new, self-titled Dream Theater album (which I purchased at 12:02 a.m. this morning at my local cd shop). Pretty epic album. Lots of influence from Rush, Slayer, Metallica, Yes, and ELP, as well as references to earlier Dream Theater material. And Mike Mangini's collaboration in the writing is very apparent throughout. Can't wait for the North American tour!
