Snyder Remains Positive After Quarterfinal Finish (1 Viewer)

[coverattach=1]After another good qualifying effort, the weekend ended a little too early for Mick Snyder and the Snyder Motorsports Race Team in Brainerd, Minnesota.

“We have shown that we have the horsepower and the car to run the big numbers, we have been qualifying well all year. But, when it comes to eliminations we just haven’t been able to put it all together. Little things in the motor keep breaking so it is very hard for us to get the data and runs we need to step up the car throughout the weekend,” said Snyder.

After qualifying #2 for the event with a 5.70 at 252 mph, Snyder took out his first round opponent with a 5.77 at 250 mph. In-between first and second round with the shortened turn around times, the team had a mad thrash to change one of the heads and make it up to the line in time. With a lot teamwork, they were able to make it back and run their best time of the weekend, 5.65, but it wasn’t quite enough to overtake their competitor.

“It was a fun weekend, Brainerd always is. After being off so long it was good to see some people, and Skip and Barb from Powersource were there and Dave from Goodson came out for the weekend too. They have both been really supportive of our operation, and we can’t thank them enough. The crew is working great together and the car runs good too when we can get it to stay in one piece. We are going to head to Bowling Green and then Indy, we just need a little luck and at the end of the weekend we hope to be standing in the winner’s circle.”

The next event for the Team will be in Bowling Green, Kentucky for the Division 3 Lucas Oil Divisional Series event.
