Snyder Looking for Win at TORCO Race Fuels Nationals Earns 3rd Straight Divisional

Championship A couple of weeks ago, Mick Snyder, driver of the Snyder Motorsports / Knoll Gas - Torco Race Fuels Top Alcohol Funny Car, earned his 3rd straight Division 3 championship. This week, he and the team are heading down to south to the Torco Race Fuels Nationals looking for their first National event win of the season.

"Columbus was a bitter sweet weekend for us. We were able to wrap up our third straight divisional championship, but the unfortunate events that occurred during the final round put a damper on the celebration. Danny is a really good friend of mine and to watch him wreck like that was kind of scary. I am used to having control of what is going on in the car, but I felt somewhat helpless as I watched him in the car that Sunday. We are just glad that he is going to be ok and hopefully we will see him back out on the track soon."

The 25 year-old driver also earned his second straight Spitzer Low Qualifier Series Championship in Columbus. The Team is currently sitting in 6th in the National points standings and hoping to move up into the Top 5 this weekend.

"This is going to be our last event of the season and to top it off, it is the TORCO Race Fuels Nationals which makes it even more special. I really want to earn a win here for the Team and our great sponsor. My Team works so hard week in and week out. I want to thank them for all the hard work and the sacrifices they make in order to be here with us. I can't begin to thank Evan and the rest of the TORCO family for all they have done for us. Hopefully, we can get in the winner's circle this weekend and cap off what has been another successful season for the Snyder Motorsports / Knoll Gas - Torco Race Fuels Team."

The racing action is scheduled to begin on Friday at 1:15 PM. The second qualifying attempt will come at 4:30 that afternoon. The final qualifying run will take place on Saturday morning at 10:30. Final eliminations begin 4:45 that evening with first round action. The eliminations will continue on Sunday morning following the first Pro session.
