Rickie Smith will be back in action this weekend at Farmington Dragway in North Carolina. Smith who has been absolutely unstoppable in a Pro Mod in the Middle East the last few months is looking to get back to racing in the states.
Last weekend the race veteran got back in his groove as he drove his 1963 Nitrous Injected Chevy Corvette at Mooresville Dragway. Qualifying No. 1 and winning the first round before mother nature had other plans, Smith looked as if he was right where he left off, winning.
Testing over the last few days at two different 1/8 mile tracks, Smith is ready to get things rolling at The Farm on Saturday.
“I am excited about racing this weekend at Farmington,” said Smith. “It’s been a while since I have ran a race here, so it should be a lot of fun. The fans are always so great at Farmington, hopefully we can pull a win off for them on Saturday night.”
Smith will not only race his Pro Mod this weekend at the Farm, but next Saturday he will run again at the Shelor Motor Mile in Virginia in the ADRL Series.
