There has already been an announcement of a young lady moving into Pro Stock for 2024.

What other rumors or confirmations about new rides, drivers switching rides, crew chiefs, new or retiring team owners, etc. are out there for 2024?

Something fun was just made official for Dallas this year- Krista Baldwin will be driving for Scott Palmer, as he won't be medically cleared to drive by then.

It works out great for both. Krista had a sponsor but needed a car, and Scott needed a good driver that will promote his deal for the "Stampede of Speed" and PBR. She will do an excellent job for everybody involved.

What happened to her car?

Nothing, it's just outdated. Pretty sure it started life as a car Spencer Massey drove during his time at DSR, then Grandpa had it, and now she's had it a few years. She had an excellent segment on WFO awhile back talking about it. I think it got to the point Scott Graham can run 3.70's with Pat Dakin's car pretty much anywhere it goes, but Krista's current car just can't seem to run the number no matter what they try. Instead of wasting time and effort on a car they feel is not competitive, she is going to drive a couple different cars at the end of this year while she searches out a new car for herself.

someone mentioned in a thread not too long ago, noticing joe maynard on starting line for all of capps runs lately, and a small JCM racing decal is
displayed on rear qtr. glass ...... another recent interview (krista in the pits) with joe c. maynard, a mention of an upcoming visit to frank hawley school

I’ve heard rumblings in Indy that Bandimere could be on the 2024 schedule. I’m hopeful but I’m thinking it isn’t going to happen.

It was my understanding that The Don gifted that car to the Greek several years ago.

How is the Greek doing by the way? Anybody seen him at any events this year? Think he's closing in on the big 9-5 in a couple months.

it sure was a pleasure watching chris (and luigi) come and race at BIR every august. every year i'd think to myself, 'this isn't gonna' last forever'.
sure seemed like forever. i really miss those guys. sure wish krista would keep the tradition going by showing up at BIR.
wonder what became of luigi's operation?

The Greek will never tell anyone that he ran that 200 on hydrazine and he'll never say how old he is. He's a WWII Vet, so.....

You all know I work at Sky Harbor airport in Phoenix. This past week we had the 100th Honor Flight. Takes Vets from WWII, Korea, Nam to Wash DC to the WWII Memorial. They usually leave on Tue and return Thur. Most in wheelchairs. They stage right outside our briefing room. So cool to see these guys & gals.

And Lucas also gave him a lifetime sponsorship for the remaining time that he would drive. Of course it wouldn't be Top team money but it definietly helped.

Here's my unsubstantiated prediction for silly season: Tony Stewart will announce his move to Top Fuel. Not much of a longshot prediction.

He's smart enough not to race against his wife. I could see a part time schedule as a blocker maybe, Otherwise, I don't know if i see this happening.

Tony made it very clear on the broadcast he has no interest in racing against Leah. Problem with Funny Car is then he's competing against Hulk.

Maybe so. But, if wins he doesn't have to go home and get the cold shoulder/the evil look/face the music/sleep on the couch consequences with Hagan.

what is the future of drag racing w/o the dodge/mopar branding? will dodge fade away? but mopar parts division stay? or be sold off?
the 2024 schedule still shows 'dodge power broker u.s. nationals'

NHRA won’t have any car brand to hit with penalties, in order to let the Brand Xers catch up, if Mopar goes away.
