Short alky field ?? Seattle

Several Natl. Events compete with Divisional races! Why NHRA can't figure that out is beyond me!
Well ... not in this particular case Joe. The ONLY divisional this weekend is D1 and I am pretty sure there are not any cars from D5, D6, or D7 coming to Atco, NJ.

The last 2 nationals (Denver / Sonoma) did not even contest the Alcohol classes. D7 has not run alcohol classes since June (Top Gun), D6 since mid-July (Woodburn), and D5 since mid-July (Bandimere). So it is not like that area of the country has been getting beat up with races on top of races, at least for the Alcohol cars.

The only real conflict I see might be with the D5 cars. They have a Divisional race next week at Cordova followed by Brainerd the week after. So those guys may be strategizing how best to spend thier $$. With all that said ... doesn't make sense why the Alcohol classes would be low. It is the only "Home Division" National event for D6 racers.

I would pin this more squarely on economics and not the NHRA schedule.

Run alky cars, super stock, stock and comp, pro cars, the heck with everyone else, most everyone else doesnt want to watch the other categories
