yes. this is the big announcement. but not the REAL TONY S.!!
curious to see who the money is. honestly, was discouraged to see front half of clay's car empty of sponsor/s here at gainesville,
not to mention not attending bradenton.

No mention yet of what his schedule/number of races will be.. So Maynard racing is now Alexis who is self funded and Ida on a part time pull. ? Interesting that they could not come up with enough new money to put at least one car full time on the track. Hopefully there's thing's in the works for them.

wonder if Tony's car will be a canopy car?. I'd assume yes since him and his dad worked so long to design it. It's definitely a good thing. Let's hope both RWR and JCM can land funding for full season rides for both drivers as well as Capps' top fuel team for next year. I hate seeing short fields anywhere ... you gotta wonder who will be the crew chiefs on Tony Shoe and Capps' tf team ..... NHRA fuel classes getting better all the time

I would think so. There was some discussion with a part-time team and one of the sticking points was the car is a non-canopy car.

On Nhra.tv today Brian Lohnes said Tony would run a part time schedule in 2025 and a full schedule in 2026.

I was wondering, and hoping, this is where Tony would end up. I’m glad it actually happened. The only caveat is that I hope this doesn’t turn into a Days of Thunder situation, where one team is favored over the other. I think we need to use the Force model here. Other teams’ models apply also.

Considering the results of the entire RWR, I'd say the NHRA program is producing the best results. Might be the time to cutting some of the poor performing programs.
Saving $$ and distractions.

When Clay was interviewed at the top end last night they talked about the big news, he assured everyone both teams would be equal and sharing information.

Just making conversation for fun.

Mike Klober is available. Bring him in for the 2nd car? Mike was Rick’s choice while he was piecing his team together, before Rick bought out the complete Doug Stringer operation.

Do you break up Clay and Jim O to reunite Clay and Mike?

IF you were to put Clay and Mike together- Do you put Clay in the newly assembled team? And let Jim O continue to run the team he has established with Tony now driving?

OR since Clay is the - I’ll say established driver of RWR - keep him with his current crew and equipment that he has and just swap out Jim O and Mike?

Just thinking out loud so to speak waiting on the racing to resume in Gainesville.

Good question, jim o clay seem to hit it off good. Id like to see kloeber back with clay and now with a healthy budget no doubt kloeber would be a top runner
