Shoe Q2 DQ??

Heard there is a new template to check the position of the front wing and his did not fit within the parameters of the template. Teams had been warned of the template coming.

Minor technical issue.......?? Why the secret nhra, we are yer fan base?? What was the problem with the car?? No fine & no lost points, so it must have been VERY minor.

I thought all they check after a run is fuel & weight, guess not.
Maybe todays show will explain in detail. We hope.

This is minor punishment, as it turns out, since it didn't keep Schumacher from qualifying (he's #8, an OK spot). He most likely asked NHRA to keep things as quiet as possible and NHRA agreed. There's enough gossip going around about DSR as it is.

This is a miniscule deal; who cares. After all, it's not like they found DOHC heads under the valve covers.

The punishment is minor, yes, but bad enough to void the run. So why not make the problem known so other teams don't make the same mistake. At the cost of a nitro pass today, why make teams waste a run.?? NHRA is trying to keep the cost down.......right?? ;)

Virgil Hartman said they were warned about the front wing position, Mike Minick said the problem was an illegal blower modification. Both of them are "insiders". My point is, make the rule infraction public to remove confusion, and save the teams a voided run.

Good point; not trying to argue with ya. :)

I guess if I cared more about the situation, I'd be more vocal. But I don't. If the parties involved are satisfied, I'm satisfied. Maybe Tony will win today and the incident will be nothing but a distant memory and a reminder to the teams to pay strict attention to the rules.

No argue here either sir, just my opinion. Seems if nhra makes it known, then others won't make the same mistake. Maybe we'll learn more tonight, enjoy the races.:D
Known to fuel teams, YES ... Publicly or on the Mater, NO

As Carl said, if all parties are satisfied .... time to move along. You don't know that this wasn't discussed with all fuel teams afterward.;)
