Shirley is my all time hero. I have always treated racers like normal people, however I almost passed out the first time I had a chance to meet Shirley back in 1994 as a fan. As a competitor I had heard she was on the ground in Doug Herberts pits at the '07 Englishtown race. I grabbed up the kids, hopped on the 4-wheeler and burned ass over there. Sure as heck, she was sitting on the back of a golf cart and I was able to spend 5-10 minutes with Shirley talking shop and the kids had no clue, but they do now. She autographed my competition credentials, which gives me chills when I see it now.
HOWEVER, major deals are few and far in between and she always seems to have "something or someone" in the hunt to help her. Its always secretive and the last one had Angelle in the seat....well, now Angelle is a devout Momma (congrats Angelle and Seth!!), so that may be the reason Erica was mentioned.
If it turns out to be real, I wish everyone the best, I just wish Shirley was out here doing this for the right reasons.....I have a feeling she has no interest at being a team owner and just wants the money. I know she brought in Xantax and Stri-vectin (not sure how)....the companies wanted "her to drive"? I doubt they wanted a 65+ yr old veteran to drive, but she did need help because I'm not sure she has the 2+million it would have taken to pull together the right operation, so she winks at Connie again and he takes care of the team....she probably thought it was her payday, but I highly doubt Connie rented the team and equipment cheap "for old times sake". Don't forget, along with paving the way for women, Shirley did step on anyone and everything she could in the early days to get where she ended up and honestly, IMHO if she had to put it together herself, she couldn't. Yes, she won 2 championships on her own, but thats back when you didn't have the precision you have in todays cars.
Just ask yourself one question, could Cha-Cha put together a team capable of running with Al-Anabi? Stop laughing.....
Just my opinion folks. Please understand I a LOVE Shirley, she is my HERO for her determination and endurance. I may not be a great fan of how she got there, but hell gang, I know a few former nitro racers, that everyone knows, who raced on drug and extortion money....and everyone LOVED them!!

Maybe not Al-Anabi, but definitely competitive with the right people - and Old Man Enders' money. Not a slam here, but Shirley's made it clear on many occasions that she has no use or respect for young, 'silver-spoon' girls who didn't come up the hard way, as she did. I can't imagine her having a need for Erica Enders other than financial.
I could be wrong, and often am.
Does anyone know if Hillary is still under contract to KB Racing? I don't think so...but I could be wrong.

I'm not sure about Hillary, Many times she had the fastest hot rod on the grounds only to be late on the lights. Although she did pay her dues in a
BAD and T/F. I think I would still go with Hillary first.

LOL I have no idea if the fastest woman in the world is still under contract with Ken Black, but I too highly doubt it. Maybe Shirl' should go see John Force. I hear one of his daughters are thinking top fuel - and it doesn't look like JFR has any problems buying groceries each week.......

I love and revere Shirley always. She is an amazing person, always my hero. And she can say whatever she wants.
I miss the days when drivers were that fierce and in your face. There's noone around currently that I cheer for as passionately as I did her.
I just transferred a bunch of early 2000's races to DVD and when she and Big Daddy were competing at Indy, John Force didn't get quite as much screentime as he does now.
I never did, till she snapped at me in Vegas about 3-4 years ago! Lost all respect...
