Shawn Cowie in Vegas

For whatever reason, I was thinking there wouldn't be Canadian racers at Vegas, cuz of their covid lockdown. So surprised & happy to see Shawn Cowie there. Also Mike Quayle from Red Deer, Alberta.

Yeah the Canada/ USA border is still closed to non essential travel. They must be getting there using business reasons. It is a huge commitment to do that trip right now because they have to isolate for 14 days when they return to Canada. But then you will never find a more committed racer than Cowie.
Hopefully the border will open up before the Northwest Nationals ( for both the racers and fans )

He ran very well at the Div race there the other month.

Every time I see Shawn Cowie I'm reminded he's a survivor because of modern medical science. Guy must be a tough as a $3 steak.

Shawn is Q #1 at 5.228 - 275.45. Top speed so far is Chris Demke, another blown alky car, 276.35. Chris is #8, 5.338 ET.
