Did anyone go? Take clips? I WISH I could have been there.

Any information anyone has would be great! ESPECIALLY and Shirley quotes!!!

there's pics from a nhra ladies something or other on a stage @ sema over on complus. it's leah, alexis, shirley, courtney and erica.
in the appearance and looking professional dept., IMO, one of these ladies stole the show, the other 3 should take notes.
.....shirley has nothing to prove to anyone.

Mike, been looking for that picture but can't find it, let me know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks

Thanks, Phillip
These girls are all great, only one missing is Angele (spelling) she should have been there. I've been to these breakfast's and are semi casual but Leah looked awesome.

The line to get into that was huge. It seemed that 3/4 of the people there were just trying to get posters signed, photo with Chip Foose, Blocking the isles taking photos of cars, etc. If you were there to try and do actual business, it was tough.

What irritates me somewhat is why (NHRA) doesn't recognize the drivers that started earlier...Judy Lilly,Shirley Shahan, Paula Murphy,Barb Hamilton, Carol Burkett....I could go on. These women were the true pioneers of the sport when the sport was male dominated and most didn't think women could race cars. Nothing against the current crop of female racers at all,but the ones I mentioned paved the way for them and never are mentioned. To me, that isn't right.

I thought Leah spoke the most articulately of any racer I have ever heard. She talked a lot about the business side of racing. That should certainly help her getting funding although it's tough right now even for the bigger names.

You know old Bob frey who I truly like and some people on this board who rank on Danica should just jump in a cup car at lets say Talladega with 41 other drivers and just see how easy it is to be a Jimmy Johnson.

If she had "just jumped into a Cup car", then yup, the ribbing (and worse) would be unfair. But this girl's own bio has had her racing since childhood, and she has been a professional racer longer than almost everyone on the panel. Erica's story is about the closest in comparison, and so far the biggest difference between DP and EE is their marketing team.

Oh, and their trophy shelves.
