NHRA POWERADE COUNTDOWN TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP DRIVERS IN SPOTLIGHT AT ANNUAL SEMA SHOW NHRA BREAKFAST

GLENDORA, Calif. (Oct. 24, 2007) – NHRA POWERade Series drivers representing all four professional categories will be the featured guests at the annual NHRA Breakfast at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The SEMA Show, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world, draws the industry's brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center, Oct. 30-Nov. 2.

The NHRA Breakfast will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 7:30 a.m. in Las Vegas Hilton ballrooms A&B. The NHRA Breakfast is open to all registered SEMA Show attendees. A continental breakfast will be served.

NHRA racers scheduled to attend the breakfast include two-time NHRA Top Fuel world champion Larry Dixon; 2003 NHRA Funny Car world champion Tony Pedregon; two-time NHRA Pro Stock world champion Jeg Coughlin; and three-time NHRA POWERade Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion Andrew Hines. The four racers are all seeking additional world championship titles in their categories during this season’s inaugural NHRA POWERade Countdown to the Championship. ESPN2 personality and host of NHRA Race Day, Dave Rieff, will emcee the NHRA Breakfast.

Tickets for the NHRA Breakfast are free for all SEMA Show attendees and can be requested through SEMA at semashow.com in the Seminars & Special Events section of the Web site.

In addition, those four drivers and the remaining Countdown to 1 competitors will be featured during a special NHRA POWERade Countdown to the Championship Press Conference, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 1:10 p.m. during the SEMA Show at the Continental Tire Media Experience (S219). All SEMA Show registered media are invited to attend the news conference, which will be hosted by NHRA announcer Bob Frey. Special Countdown to the Championship commemorative collectible items will be available for media attending the conference. Following the news conference, many of the drivers will participate in an autograph session at the NHRA booth on the SEMA Show floor.

On May 30, 2007, the NHRA entered into an agreement with HD Partners Acquisition Corporation (AMEX: HDP) for the acquisition by HDP of the NHRA’s professional drag racing assets, including the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, together with a broad set of commercialization rights.
