Saturday Qualifying At Las Vegas

First session was a marathon. Three oil downs. ARG! Wasn't there a comment about the possible increase in oil downs? Alexis had a front wheel lock up after the lights and hit the wall. Her & the car were fine. John Capps did a mid track wheelstand, broke the front suspension and hit the wall HARD. he's ok, car isn't. Fastest FC field in history. Sold out crowd. There was that talk, but most of the incidents occurred with people that you wouldn't have expected from a 25 car FC field right (Head, Dejoria, J Capps .... if my memory is correct). Seems like the track was other than what the teams were used to/expecting. Alky cars struggled some. Maybe when they go 4W we'll see the surface change.

Her press release said the parachute got sucked under the car and wrapped around the rear-end causing her to lose the brakes and pull the body into the left slick. Nothing mentioned about front brake locking up.

Here's what I read last night:

Unfortunately, during Q3 we made a really good run- I got a bonus point and top speed- but then my parachute got sucked up underneath my Patrón Toyota Camry and wrapped around the rear end. I lost brakes, couldn’t stop the car and somehow my left tire was wedged into the body so I couldn’t steer it either.
