oh my god.

I brought my family this time. stepson in his 20s 14 year old daughter and my wife. my wife has now seen Rush 4X thanks to moi. they all loved it. my daughter asked me to buy her a shirt, so you know she thought it was cool.

tonight was my 14th show since moving pictures.
There were some surprises in the setlist that I just don't think i should give away here. but it was like holy crap are they really playing that? it was spectacular. the sound mix was crystal clear. Alex has reached a new level of musicianship. He's loose, he's smiling, and he's playing the piss out of his guitar.
Neil's solo had many familiar elements, but he did some things with electronic sounds that were very interesting. And he played some things faster than I thought was humanly possible. Geddy does a fantastic job singing it's amazing he's in his 50's hitting those notes.

Rush have always been stellar musicians but if they had one weakness , it was lack of soul. They've got a heartful of it now;-)

they did one song from 'feedback' and the dragon made a return also. I love the dragon.

To break it down a little,
they played songs from:
hemispheres
permanent waves
moving pictures
signals
grace under pressure
hold your fire
roll the bones
vapor trails.

and 5 or 6 from the new one.

there are several humorous moments in the show. no way i 'm giving those away.

And you're on here telling us about it and not behind your kit making more videos for us to watch why?? :D

I'm happy the whole family had a great time...

I've only seen them twice, and they are one of a kind... Love them...................

LA is 350+ miles south... And they could move it another 350 for all I care... Joke!!

I'll look up their schedule and see if they are coming to the Sacramento/Bay Area...

Now go beat some skins... And turn it up!! :)

like how the last chord of 'far cry ' is the chord that starts side one of 'Hemispheres'?

You should all find the MVI version of S + A. It's got a great 'making of' video on it , in addition to the album.
less than a month till the Orlando show.
