Rupture Street Wear to sponsor Matt Hagan
“Clothing with an Attitude” part of new Funny Car effort

NEWPORT NEWS, VA (APRIL 4, 2008) - A long-time supporter in drag racing, Rupture Street Wear has announced it will be a part of Matt Hagan’s new Nitro Funny Car effort in 2008.

The new car, a Chevy Monte Carlo SS bodied flopper, will run at all IHRA (International Hot Rod Association) events this season as part of the IHRA Knoll Gas Motorsports Nitro Jam Series.<img src="http://www.nitromater.com/gallery/files/5/tn_IMG_2659.jpg" alt="matt hagen" align="right"borders="0"/>

“We’re very proud and excited to be a part of Matt’s new car, especially as he’s stepped up with a Nitro Funny Car,” said Rupture’s Chris Morrison. “Matt and his team have proven themselves over the years in Pro Modified racing, and Rupture is happy to go to the next level of racing with them.”

Hagan, who is from Christianburg, VA, has toured both the IHRA and NHRA Pro Modified circuit with his Corvette and Camaro. Highlights in the popular Pro Mod division include qualifying for all IHRA National meets, and winning the AMS ProMod NHRA Rookie of the Year honors.

Started in 1993, Rupture Street Wear has been associated with some of the best in Pro Modified and Outlaw Pro Modified racing. Rupture is involved with Georgia’s Eddie Ware and his Camaro Pro Modified, who set a world record with a 6.035-second, 235.89 mph pass and won the Pro Modified class at an IHRA meet in Epping, NH, in 2006. Rupture is also associated with Outlaw racer Scott Filkins of MA who drives the world’s fastest wedge-head Pontiac GTO.

“We’re excited to be a part of all three of these teams,” Morrison said. “We believe Matt, Eddie, and Scott fit in exactly with our ‘outlaw’ line of drag racing apparel. We’ll be riding down the track with them on each pass.”

Rupture offers a complete line of apparel for women, men, and children. It also produces screen print apparel for race teams, along with crew shirts. Embroidery is also one of Rupture’s specialties, and it recently acquired a 12-color and a 16-color press, which will enhance a wide range of custom work for any situation.

Visit the Rupture Street Wear booth this racing season at all IHRA National events and all ADRL (American Drag Racing League) events. You can also call 1-757-377-2121, or go to :: RUPTURE STREET WEAR :: for more information and ordering.
