Difficult Texas weekend for Ware
Engine woes stall Disturbed Motorsports team in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (March 25, 2007) – Pro Modified driver Eddie Ware and The Disturbed Motorsports Camaro qualified but failed to compete in the first round of Pro Modified eliminations at this weekend’s IHRA Amalie Oil Texas Nationals presented by NAPA Auto Parts at San Antonio Raceway.

Lack of oil pressure was the culprit for the Georgia-based Pro Mod team.

“The Rupture Streetwear Camaro lost oil pressure when we started the car for the first round and we had to shut it down,” said Ware from Marietta, GA. “It’s unfortunate, as we were scheduled to race Ed Hoover and his 1963 Corvette.”

The Disturbed Motorsports Team qualified 12th with a 4.092-second run at over 282 miles per hour on an unprecedented eighth-mile track in a field of 16 Pro Modified finalists.

Due to unforeseen issues pertaining to the track surface at San Antonio Raceway, the IHRA Amalie Oil Texas Nationals was contested as an eighth-mile event instead of using the customary quarter-mile length.

"We'll work on the car in San Antonio to prepare for our next race in Houston this coming weekend," added the 32-year old Ware.

Ed Hoover defeated Danny Rowe in the final round of the Torco's CompetitionPlus.com Pro Modified class to win the first event of the 12-race International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Knoll - Gas Nitro Jam™ Drag Racing Series.

The next event for the Disturbed Motorsports Team sponsored by Rupture Streetwear, Baudier Vehicle Graphics and Mickey Thompson Performance Tires Supercharged 1967 Chevrolet Camaro is the AMS Staff Leasing Pro Modified Challenge presented by Tindle Enterprises at the O’Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals in Texas.

The O’Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals presented by Pennzoil, is scheduled for March 30-April 1 at Houston Raceway Park.
