Run schedule National trail (12 Viewers)

And looked like good track conditions for the nitro Q2. Mostly empty seats in the stands - maybe because it was a Friday??
I thought the on track action today was good. If I lived close to a IHRA race, I would go. As for the fans, Maple Grove will be the telling sign. If they don't show up there, you can narrow it down to 1 reason, the quality of cars showing up. The cost of the tickets are not the problem.

paul, i will respectfully take the opposing viewpoint and suggest that the nhra has personalities that
the fans want to see, buy their merchandise, and maybe even get an autograph.
ihra is presently offering the same exact entertainment as the nhra; only their drivers, and arguably sponsors, are not
as well known. IMO the e.t.'s do little or nothing to determine if a fan will buy a ticket to watch. it's an interesting study
in how the general public responds to entertainment. mick jagger can sing a song, and then the local karaoke singer
can sing the same song even better. nobody wants to pay to see karaoke bob.
i have to agree with an earlier post that suggested the ihra had maybe hoped for a few nhra 'names'
to show up the triple crown events. we'll see, there's still maple grove. i sure enjoyed watching nat. trail qualifying yesterday.
i, like many were pulling for you kyle wurtzel. you always run well. hope to see you out there again soon.

Well NHRA has been running a steady driver roster for a lot of years now so yes they have a better following. IHRA is on their second year lots more to come.
I know I have enjoyed the IHRA and will continue to support them. Free parking, $40 tickets, reasonable concessions, great racing, a few local events a year and I am a little biased as I live 2 miles from National Trail.
Much more of an old school feel to me, racing not a show.

what a great first round! both lanes producing great runs.
enjoying the coverage on youtube. the ladies doing interviews are really good.
i wish mike english was on the mic for the pros.

I personally I think the IHRA is hurt by the 1/8 mile distance. The crowd today is probably the best they have had since their return. No coincidence that the nitro cars are running 1000’.
