(9-5-2007) LAGUNA HILLS, CA – A third trip to Canada in 2007 means a third opportunity for Danny Rowe to shine on the soil of his homeland. In his second season back in the ring with the IHRA’s heavy-hitting Pro Modified contingent, Rowe is anxious to seal the deal with a win amongst the best in the business.
Rowe comes into the IHRA Canadian Nationals in Cayuga, Ontario seventh in the IHRA World Championship points standings, but with enough time to make a charge towards the top in the final three races of the season.
“We’ve got to stay focused,” said Rowe. “Although we’ve struggled a little this season, there is still time. We’re looking at three races and a confident, concentrated effort could be the deciding factor for us. If we play into outside circumstances or dwell on what could have been, we’re wasting time and effort. It’s all about continuing to move forward.”
With an abundance of Jimmy Rector horsepower under the hood of the Gainsborough Capital-backed Chevrolet, Rowe will be looking to get into the top half of the qualifying order and go rounds.
“The weather looks great and we already know the track and facility in Cayuga are first-class, so we’re geared up for a big weekend. We’ve been testing a lot and come into this event with a great deal of confidence.”
