I must admit, I have a hard time with this one; very slippery slope when you consider the team involvement in their respective successes. Not to take anything away from Jr., but in most cases, he performed well and won while having the horse in most cases. Vincent accomplished what he did, including the wins, without ever having the horse. The car runs decent, obviously, but that car was never the "one to beat", so to speak.
If this was a team award, I could get on board. But this is an individual award, and because of that, I just don't see how Nobile doesn't get the nod.

Simple. Hector Jr. would of NEVER been a contender without the countdown. Yea Vincent had a chance to be a contender. But take away the countdown Noble outperformed Hector this season. It's all because Hector was a contender in his rookie year
That doesn't make one bit of sense Patrick.Simple. Hector Jr. would of NEVER been a contender without the countdown. Yea Vincent had a chance to be a contender. But take away the countdown Noble outperformed Hector this season. It's all because Hector was a contender in his rookie year
glad to see both finalists from independent teams.
both drivers truly the future of the sport, both deserving of this award.
and both fathers really fun to watch when sons win.
I still don't understand what point you're trying to make about the Countdown.Because like Noble never being a contender, Hecor Jr. was not even a contender before the reset, Nobile was higher in the points too. I feel Hector got in because he made the most of the countdown unlike Nobile. Nobile had better lights week in week out. I feel the award is handed out on points finish and wins and that does not tell the story.
