You're correct. Minimum angle is 40 degrees. I believe they were angling them down to 32 or so, enough so to cause some amazing speeds and some amazing (and dangerous, such as 280mph wheelstands) control issues.

What's cool about Tasca (and this is a thread derailment) is his family's dealership has a car show every September at their place, and he often time brings his funny car for a warm up with a few throttle whacks. Price of admission? Two canned good items for the Rhode Island Food Bank. One time I am connecting in Chicago Midway and BT3's dad and younger brother were at the counter at the gate.
