Congratulations Ron Capps Racing!

Ronnie doin' what Ronnie DOES!

I was hoping for a better showing from Ron today, but the One Lane racecourse took all the fun out of it for me.

After such a stellar mid-season run, RCR may have peaked a little too soon, IMO

Agreed, but just when it looked like a one lane track, someone would make a good run in the "bad" lane. To me it seemed to be a bit tricky, more than a one lane track.
Tricky is when the right lane car runs in the slower end of the class ET and now both cars have a chance. Bad is when being in a lane means you now have to tune your car to be .1- .15 slower just to get down the lane, while the team on the other side can be set on kill.

If 3.70 cars are forced to tune to 3.90 in one lane just to get from A to B, its officially a one-lane track when your competitors can safely plug in that 3.70 tune up that you can't.

I’ll go a little deeper on the congrats. Chris referenced a ‘solid outing’ but I think it’s closer to stunning or fantastic. For a team that doesn’t run that many events to hit all those 3.70s (low ones too) is quite an accomplishment. I know you’d like that light back but I was thinking on Saturday that despite the dominance of Kalitta cars, this car has a decent chance to win the event. More of those will come.
