Ron Capps on Fox this morning

Force sets a national record for both speed and ET, and Jason Line wins one for his hospitalized team leader, yet THIS is what makes the news. Just glad Ron is okay. That's the most important thing.

In addition to Force's unpredictable and passionate interviews, we have many well spoken racers, like Capps, who do a great job promoting the sport. It's a shame that they really only get to talk to the mainstream media when a major crash happens.

it was a good interview, napa recouped some of the $60k lost with body....in fact with that accident, napa was
most likely the #1 impressions from the winters; including tv, utube and social media; even jack in other lane
was seen numerous times.
the fox news hosts did a great job of mentioning the NHRA and pomona.
ron did a great job with the interview.
i miss gretchen carlson on fox and friends.

Force's record numbers, and Line's win for GAnderson are awesome stories. But there's a lot of awesome stories in all forms of sports that don't make FOX and Friends or whatever national outlet. It's all about what catches someones eye who has no clue about the small bubble in the universe that is Racing. This was one of those moments. Nice segment by Capps. Maybe someone who doesn't have a clue what they just saw does some research. Finds it interesting that there are not 1, but 2 nitro categories, and then figures out they can purchase a ticket at a track close to home. This is the postive side to TV coverage like this.

I thought Ron C did a very good job on Fox. After all, he was talking with people who think Justin Bieber is a drag racer and many of the listeners probably think so as well. He handled it very well. Maybe a few more people will tune in to the races because he handled it so professionally.

I don't normally watch Fox News (or any news outlet for that matter), but I watched this. Ron was well spoken. No wonder NAPA has stayed with him all these years.
