Ron Capps new look funny car

Same ugly body, different paint. Yes, I'm a buzz kill.

I am glad Ron still has the big Napa sponsorship though. If that were to go away, he might well be sidelined.

NAPA AUTO CARE has replaced NAPA AUTO PARTS in last couple years.
i liked when ron would have NAPA BRAKES or NAPA HEADLAMPS ...... IMO those wraps advertising specific napa parts stood out.

What is ugly to some is beautiful to others. I disagree with your opinion of the Toyota Supra body. I actually think it is the swoopiest looking funny car body out there. Bummed that Toyota is pulling out of NHRA. Can't figure that one out, but they are pretty much in EVERY motorsports arena out there, and maybe the ROI was not as good as in other motorsports. That will hurt Ron Capps for sure, as well as Kalitta, but not as much in their case? Just glad NAPA values Ron Capps Motorsports and keeps re-signing with him.

Toyota is putting more money into Nascar is what I heard.

In December, Epartrade's Race Industry Week interviews included one with retiring president of Toyota Racing Developments USA, David Wilson.

He sounded pretty enthusiastic about drag racing.

Incoming new president maybe less so, brings change of direction? Could be.

Bummed though.

Toyota is going to a engine supplier in Formula One$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I don't think you put enough dollars signs in your post. Probably more like this:

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...........

Speaking of that, I don't see how the demographics of the typical Toyota car buyer fits Formula 1. Kinda like the ladies knitting bunch sponsoring a WWF event.

F1 has a huge following all over the world and I'm pretty sure this move was very well calculated. I'm not sure I think its the best move either but look at how much Cadillac is investing in F1.

Toyota ONLY has Funny Cars, Nothing else in NHRA. They put a lot of money into Drag Racing but No Pro Stock , No Pro Mod, really no other classes. Should be glad they were around this long
