Even though I was just a youngster at this time, I remember this like it was yesterday. Vickie's younger brother Tony and I were classmates and good friends. Our family stayed in touch with Tony & him mom after she divorced the dad and moved. They would come for Sunday dinner frequently and on occasion, we would drive them to visit the Pa cemetery, where Vickie was entombed in an air tight casket, should the case ever be reopened.
Unfortunately, I lost touch with them once I became involved with drag racing, because of the traveling, and even a search of Classmates.com (through which I have successfully reconnected with many of my former classmates) failed to find Tony.
For those who know me pretty well, this is one of the two families in my life who lost daughters to violent crime and from whom I learned the meaning of forgiveness.
